The Heist is a Level Design project that was designed with the constraints of a clear beginning, middle, and end that supports a clear goal or purpose. I decided to go with the idea of stealing a gem from a building and escaping within a set time limit. The gimmicks with this project were the spotlights and laser traps. Upon overlapping with the player, the game would come to an end and ask to try again. I added sound effects such as laser humming for the trap and sirens/alarms when the player steals the gem. Then I used spotlights and emissive light to make it dramatic and tense as well as make the gem more important.Â
